For the first time since it was founded (in 2004), EURAU – European Symposium on Research in Architecture and Urban design – will use a blog to discuss the general theme Venustas, architecture/market/democracy to define its specific topics in a “democratic” way (promoters aim at scheduling the meeting into three sub-topics).
Using the blog, right from the beginning of the meeting’s preliminary phase the Eurau’10 Organizing Committee intends to encourage an active involvement on the part of the younger generation, and also choose among those who will offer the most interesting suggestions new members for the Scientific Committee and some “discussants” who will be invited to partake in the convention in Naples (in June 2010).
The debate on the blog allows partakers the maximum freedom in interpreting the theme and they are no in way bound to suggest the specific subtopics. They are invited to propose their comments in the way they retain most appropriate.
The posts inserted in the blog by our editorial staff will be written in the three languages used at the meeting (Italian, English, French); comments can be inserted just in one of the three languages. |
